"Sepu Kangri remains a hidden peak until you are standing underneath it."
Jim, Dawa and Chris making a recce up the valley opposite the camp to try to find an easier and safer way up Sepu Kangri. The peak in the background is called Seamo Uylmitok which means Turquoise Flower. (4/05/97)
   
With John Porter and Jim Lowther on the knife edge rocky ridge - there was a drop of steep broken rotten rock of 1000 metres the other side down to a glacier. There were at least eight rope lengths of knife edge ridge to where it broadened out and then a steep ice fall - this was no way to go. (7/05/97)
